Today, protective varnish on SILENCE AMONG THE FLOWERS.

This is the moment I wait for — when the colors wake up. The varnish doesn't add anything. It just reveals what was already there, hidden under the matte surface.

Blues become deeper. Reds pulse. Yellows glow.

These four have been drying for three weeks since I finished them in late September. Now they're sealed, protected, ready.

THE FIRST SURGE
The moment when the sea holds its breath, before everything begins to move. A tense silence, full of unspoken promises. The wave that hasn't risen yet — but will.

THE BROKEN CREST
The wave that breaks — free and fragile — revealing within its roar another kind of stillness. Even in chaos, there is something that doesn't move. Not absence — presence.

THE DISTANT SWELL
The swell you see from shore. Far enough that you can't hear it, but close enough to know it's coming. A line so thin it almost isn't there. Sometimes distance is the only way to hear silence clearly.

THE RESTING DEEP
Where everything settles. Where light sinks and reflects at once. The deepest silence — the one that holds everything we cannot see anymore, but know is there. Where everything is quiet, but nothing is still.

Four moments. One breath from surface to depth.

I started with a question: what does silence sound like when the sea never stops moving?

This quartet is my answer.

But it's not the only answer.

Because this is the third movement of something larger — something I haven't fully shown you yet.

"Silence among the flowers" is a breath within closed rooms, a whisper of color that doesn’t try to shout but to hold time still.
Each vase is not merely a vessel of flowers, but a keeper of suspended moments: fragile, intense, unrepeatable.

It’s not about botany—it’s about what lingers after the scent fades: the impression of a presence, the memory of a gesture, the poetry that stays silent yet fills the air.

Within this silence, four canvases speak:

LAST BLOOM — A solitary flower, last guardian of a moment that refuses to end. Not melancholy, but a thin light that endures.
